The Center Township Police Department employs the standard police vehicles, the Ford CVPI (Crown Victoria Police Interceptor) and the Chevrolet Impala Police Package vehicle. These are the vehicles used in everyday police work.
Our department also utilizes a pair of 4x4 vehicles, the Jeep Cherokee, and the Ford Excursion, which is piloted 24/7 by whichever officer is the supervisor of the current shift.
Another one of our departments unique vehicles is a recent addition to the fleet, our military spec ATV, seen here on display in the Beaver Valley Mall.
If you see this trailer on the road, most likely our ATV is on its way out for a tour of duty, in one of several capacities, be it reaching a nearly inaccessible crime scene, performing search and rescue, or any number of other possible scenarios.
And of course, no department is complete without a DARE car, and ours is no different. Our DARE car was modeled after Dale Jarretts 2000 Ford Quality Care NASCAR stock car.
